The hunter of the surface, cast at the size of a great catch. Kanaad is the first work in the collection because it is the first fish you meet in the water — narrow, fast, and lit from above.
The steel is polished to a cold mirror, then the lateral bars are darkened by hand so they appear and vanish as the light moves — the way they do on the living fish. Mounted on a concealed bracket; from the front, nothing shows but the fish.

Polished steel wants very little: a dry, soft cloth, and no polish or solvents — they lift the hand-darkened bars, which cannot be matched afterwards. Indoors, the finish is stable for decades. Should a work be marked, the studio will refinish it at no cost, for life.
Delivery and installation in Muscat are included; the concealed bracket is fitted by the studio. Outside Oman, each work leaves in a bespoke timber crate, insured to full value, shipping quoted separately. Collection works may be returned within fourteen days.
Cast and finished in the Maleo workshop, Muscat, 2026. Number 1 of the edition is in a private collection in Muscat. Accompanied by a signed studio certificate and the original working drawing.
